"The dire wolf is not a wolf. The name will be changed by the scientific community soon enough. As I have stated many times over, the Dire Wolf is more of a dinosaur that would resemble a jackal or hyena having a shoulder height of 38 inches and a body length of 69 inches. The first dire wolf fossils were found in 1854 from the Ohio River in Indiana. I began this project to bring the look of the dire wolf back so that we could have a clearer understanding of how these bones could have supported the dire wolf's lifestyle".
